SHOULD PARENTS INVADE THEIR CHILDREN'S LIFE?

You often hear people say that teenagers should be more controlled by their parents. However, there are different opinions on how much they should invade their children’s life.

On one hand, children, especially teenagers, need to be protected as there are many dengerous people who would want to take advantage of them if they had the opportunity.  Parents knowing who their children’s friends are or where they are, could help them make sure teenagers are in a safe environment.

On the other hand, youngsters need space to grow up, find who they are and what they want to do with their life. The teenage period of time is complicated as young people have to make a good amount of decisions as well as dealing with their own problems. Therefore, parents should allow their child to be a bit distant, to find their way through life on their own.

To sum up, I would say that is good for a teenager to be controlled, although giving young people some space will always help them to grow up and be more mature.
